1972 Porsche 911 T

This car was purchased new at Porsche on Van Ness Ave. in 1972. It has lived all but 2 years in San Francisco. 2 owners from new. Original miles, service stamps from new, Books and records available. The engine was replaced with a unit from a '73 T. The transmission is correct. This is a driver and as such it's condition is consistent with a car that has seen regular city use. It has been resprayed in it's orginal Conda Green and had some various bumps and bruises repaired over time. It is a nice driver.
In 1972 many upgrades were carried over to the T from the S and E models.  It received a displacement increase from 2,2 to 2,4 Liters and horsepower rose from 125 to 140. Part of this power increase was due came to the addition of Mechanical Fuel Injeciotion. Until 1972, all T models had a different transmission than the S and E.  This is the first year that the 911T adopted the same 915/12 transmission as the 911S.
