1958 Mercedes Benz 190SL Convertible
What a find! This 1958 190SL has recently received a 150 hour-$50k+ refurbishment including new chrome, interior, dash, carpets, mechanical, convertible top, paint correction and more. Prior to the refurb, the vehicle came to us in overall very good driver's grade condition, but had some interior fading, incorrect materials, and original carpets and canvas top. The body shows to have had no notable rust history and shows no signs of rust repair. The Ivory paint was refinished long ago, but still presents well with no fading, chipping or weather related wear. The interior received all new Bamboo leather seating, door cards, and dash topper. The seat frames are original, but the seat pads had long deteriorated and were replaced as well. The new beige canvas top is correct to the car. Prior to the completion of the refurbishment the vehicle received a mechanical once over and maintenance making it mechanically sound and ready to drive. Due to age and pitting, the majority of the original chrome on the body has been removed, re-plated and reinstalled. Under the boot, the trunk received a full carpet set.
Overall, you have a standout #3 grade 190SL in a lovely color combo. The money has been spent in all of the right places, and the car is ready for another few decades of enjoyment.
